I am going to be buying hosting. I will also be transforming stacycat.com into something slightly different.
I have heard a few good things about GoDaddy hosting(mainly, good friends and my Partner have their hosting there). And my domains are from there. But, I am willing to entertain other options.
Musts that I want in Hosting:
Wordpress.org
multiple domains
good uptime
ability to have a commercial site
ability to have adult content/pornography
Easy to use interface
Reasonably cheap
Wants
Ability to pay in a lump sum for 6 months or a year and/or discounts for paying in a lump sum.
Possible to create a “members only” area on multiple domains.
Is there anything that I am missing that I should have on either list? Do yall have any other recommendations on hosting that I should look into?

Dreamhost has all of that too – though I’m not sure about the members only area thingie. But I’ve been with dreamhost over a year now, and I love them. <3
My last hosting was with 1&1, and I hated them. It was complicated to set up, and then drama-tastic when I tried to cancel.
GoDaddy. They have everything on your “wants” list and everything on your “musts” list, plus stellar customer service, and for cheap.
You have a couple of other options as well, each with its own drawbacks. Dreamhost (everything on your Wants and Needs list), about the same price as GoDaddy (last I checked they were a little bit more) but not as good customer service. 1&1, everything on both lists but MUCH pricier, and, in my experience, more persnickety to set up some kinds of active content (I’ve had some pretty weird problems with their PHP).
And finally, iPower Web, who I mention only for the lulz. Everything on your Wants and Needs list, so-so-price, lousy server security (their servers have been pwned by Russian organized crime for well over a year now), and the worst customer service I have ever encountered (I was on the phone with them when someone whose site had been hacked called them–they denied that the server had been hacked, even though it was being used to distrivute the W32/Zlob virus, THEN denied knowing it’d been hacked even though I personally notified them of the hack nearly a week before, THEN denied that it was a hack and blamed the customer for the breach even though they’d acknowledged to me the day before that it was a problem with their servers.)
So iPower, probably not so much.
I have sites on 1&1 and GoDaddy at the moment. I recommend GoDaddy.
Yep, GoDaddy. All those things are covered. The only one I don’t specifically know much about is members’ areas, but that will be more related to what CMS or whatever that you use, not to the hosting.
